Popular Music Piano Medley

I realized that most of the music I’ve played is a little dated, so here’s a medley of some newer songs to hit the radio waves in the last few years. In order, they are: Chasing Cars (Snow Patrol) You’re Beautiful (James Blunt) Since U Been Gone (Kelly Clarkson) Breakaway (Kelly Clarkson) Bad Day (Daniel Powter) Clocks (Coldplay) Somewhere Only We Know (Keane) I hope you enjoy it! PS – Sorry about the sound quality – my recording equipment is far from state of the art!

Dream Theater – A Change of Seasons

EDIT: 26000 views…you people are crazy :D It’s been just over two years since I first posted this, and I have since bought a drumkit (for those of you calling me poor) and I can play the song, without all the mistakes that I make here. The hard part is finding a decent camera and recording equipment :) /edit Firstly, this is a fairly difficult song. So forgive all the mistakes you happen to spot. Secondly, this is the Live Scenes from New York version of ACOS. I use this because i’ve always felt that this version had much more life than the album version, and Portnoy’s drumming is much more dynamic. Enjoy. PS. Recently added annotations just to show exactly how this kit is set up :)

Tim Wonnacott visits Coats Observatory which is one of four public observatories operating in the UK, all of which are sited in Scotland. Coats Observatory is located in Oakshaw Street West, Paisley and was designed by Glasgow architect John Honeyman, with funding coming from local thread manufacturer Thomas Coats. The observatory was operated by the Paisley Philosophical Institution, which had been founded on October 8th 1808. The design incorporated many impressive features of Victorian architecture including wrought iron work from the Saracen Foundry in Possilpark, Glasgow, carvings by John Young and stained glass windows featuring Galileo, Kepler and William Herschel. The building opened to the public on October 1st 1883. The first telescope was a five inch refractor built by Thomas Cooke of York. Other equipment included an orrery, spectroscope and a transit telescope. Meteorological recording was undertaken on a daily basis, and has continued uninterrupted to the present day. In 1898 an additional ten inch refracting telescope was purchased, manufactured by Howard Grubb of Dublin. This telescope is still in use at the observatory, as is the original Cooke telescope. That year also saw the addition of a pavilion to the rear of the observatory complex which housed additional astronomical and scientific apparatus and also seismic recording equipment. The pavilion went out of use circa 1930 and was demolished in 1969, but Coats Observatory continues to function as a

Kyteman’s Hiphop Orchestra – Jamming – The Hague Jazz 2009

so beautiful … Een oproep van Kyteman’s website: “I want to do more recordings, write more songs and play more music. I could do this the same way I’ve done it uptil now (1 instrument at a time), but what I’m looking for is something else: I want to capture the exact same energy on my recordings as I’ve found on stage. which means, the entire orchestra at the same time… I’ve found a space where I’m building my studio. it’s a big space, the entire orchestra will fit in there. unfortunately, recording equipment is quite expansive, especially for what I have in mind, 1 take recordings means a lot of microphones… but I know for sure that the result will be worth it. so, if you like helping us out, I’d be very grateful.” Willen jullie ook meer horen van Kyteman’s hiphop orkest, doe een donatie: beter wel producties banknr 4087549 Utrecht Inmiddels is er van de eerste donaties een synthesizer gekocht.
